As a child, Kerri’s family moved from Vancouver Island to Fort St. John where she completed school and began her first career in banking. Moving to Alberta she joined ATB in the branch management training program and was posted in Calgary but leaving the program and relocating to Grande Prairie and a position with ATB with plans to start a family and settle in Grande Prairie. She resigned from the banking world in 1994 to be a stay at home mom to 2 young children. Shortly after this her husband began his cabinet shop business, which he still operates, and Kerri discovered her interest in and aptitude for bookkeeping. Wanting more formal training in the field she enrolled at GPRC and completed a certificate in Computerized Accounting with First Class Standing. A work experience module in the program led to a 5 year position under an exceptional bookkeeper and mentor in private industry.
Kerri joined Davis, Kohlsmith & Kay in 2006 in a bookkeeping position becoming office manager of the newly formed Davis, Kay & Co. in 2007 then coming full circle to continue in this position with Fulcrum Group when Davis Kay & Co. merged with Rozema Lofstrom Kimble in 2017.
Being a long time employee of the firm, Kerri has had the pleasure of meeting and working closely with many clients and enjoys being able to provide assistance and support for their bookkeeping issues as well as ongoing bookkeeping services for in house bookkeeping clients and the firm.
In her personal time Kerri enjoys acreage life with a large yard and garden to keep her busy. Camping, hiking, canoeing and cross country skiing with family and friends and volunteering with Camp Wapiti (treasurer of course).
