Born and raised in Grande Prairie, Karla started at Davis, Kohlsmith & Kay when she was 21. Always possessing a love for numbers, she gained valuable training and skills and worked towards obtaining her CA designation in 2006. From there, Karla served as a sole practitioner for three years prior to joining Rozema Lofstrom LLP in 2015 as Partner and became Principal at Fulcrum Group in 2017.
Karla works with corporate and personal clients to ensure their financial plan is the most tax-efficient possible. She relates to clients at all levels and enjoys meeting and strategizing with the ultimate goal that the numbers and plan make sense to the client.
Her goals as a Principal for Fulcrum Group are to focus on quality control and keeping current on standards and changes in the profession. As always, keeping current on Canada Revenue Agency changes is a priority as well. Karla appreciates that not only is Fulcrum Group a dedicated team of professionals who create a positive environment, but they are also a group of down-to-earth people who keep it real!
In her spare time, Karla can be found with her children and family, and dabbling in photography.
